Why I Like Baseball
- Camden Yards
- John Olerud's swing (still)
- The double-play
- Jose Reyes' speed
- Dontrelle Willis' wind-up, delivery, and... well, everything about him.
- The hit-and-run executed properly
- Someone trying to hit the ball past Cesar Izturis
- Torii Hunter at the wall
- 7th inning stretch
- Barry Zito's curveball
- Johan Santana's change-up
- The Yankees haven't won the World Series lately, but having said that:
- Taking the 6 up to Yankee Stadium
- Old ladies who keep score in their programs
- The ivy at Wrigley
- The Green Monster
- Cubs-Cardinals; Yankees-Red Sox; Dodgers-Giants

I'm so glad Dontrelle Willis is doing awesome again because it's nice when you have the talent to back up that leg kick, hat tilt, and ear to ear grin. If there was ever a guy who looked like he loved playing baseball, it's HIM. And at a time when there are, what, less than ten African-American starting pitchers in the majors?
Camden Yards is horrible. Nice looking, lousy atmosphere. Please take it off your list, and put one of the following in its place:
1) David Ortiz' clutch hitting
2) Curt Schilling's guts
3) Johnny Damon being awesome
4) Tim Wakefield being low-key awesome
5) Bronson Arroyo and his grunge covers
6) Theo Epstein being a genius
7) Youk walking a lot and being Jewish
First of all let's get one thing straight - the best thing about going to a baseball game is $7 beers.
Now, after that it has to be the fact that you never know what will happen. You might get hit in the head with a foul ball or you might witness a no-hitter or you might just have a great time watching a great game.
Ballparks are like America's cathedrals. Who need's Notre Dame and Westminster? We have Wrigley and Fenway.
Nice site - Ben O.

What about
1)Hearing "Hells Bells" when Tervor Hoffman enters the game.
2)Warm Summer Nights are the yard and not a care in the world.
3)Spring Training in Arizona
4)Flashback watching Harold Baines hit. Two words - "professional hitter".
5)Flashback 2 watching Frank Thomas back when he was a force to fear. He has his moments, but not the same.
6)Baseball in October.
7)Dodger Stadium, even though I do not feel at home there. I still feel it is special, well not as special since they took out the old dugout seats.
8)Triples, maybe the most exciting 19 seconds in baseball.
9)Reading the box scores.
