The Buffalo Sabres take on the Atlanta Thrashers in a few minutes -- their first game back from the Olympic break. They resume their quest to win the Stanley Cup, or, as I now refer to it, they begin their quest to win me $240.

And my Los Angeles Kings will fight the Western Confernece and injuries to squeak out the . . . 9th spot.
I do hope they can at least stagger into the playoffs. Come on it's Lucky's last ride.
Also could you remove your hex on Roenick. I know you want nothing more than hit him with a shovel, but I need him to play well for just a couple of months. If you do well go over and do doughnuts on Brett Hull's lawn. It will make you feel better.
Boski - there was a rumor of Biron for Roenick. I do NOT want JR on Buffalo.
I WILL remove my hex. I like the Kings better than the Ducks, so I hope they make it.
I think you are safe from JR. Right now the Kings are looking at Luongo for a goalie. Which I would be good with. Hopfully it would be like the last time they got a goal for a playoff push (Felix the Cat). They need him and Brandon Witt to shore up the defense(Caps).
